Legends of South BendOur MissionOur mission is to create a way for fans to directly interact with many of the Legends who helped create the legacy of Notre Dame football. The Legends of South Bend was created as a means of generating revenue to support the mutual philanthropic interests of its founders. So, although The Legends of South Bend is a for-profit LLC, it will operate as a “social-profit” company, where a dedicated portion of the net proceeds will be set aside to create a scholarship fund through the University of Notre Dame. The Legends of South Bend’s mission is all about providing “access” not only to the legends of the game but also “access” for kids to become legends in their own right, at whatever they choose. This scholarship fund will ensure steps in that direction. The company contends that there is enough room to both make a profit… and a difference.
