Former Notre Dame Football Player Aaron Taylor Launches
LEGENDS OF SOUTH BEND; Creates Scholarship Fund

July 25, 2007

South Bend, Ind: Former Notre Dame football great, Aaron Taylor announced a new interactive website and program, www.LegendsofSouthBend.com, featuring many of the legendary players and coaches of past Notre Dame teams. A significant portion of the proceeds will support a variety of charitable causes, including the formation of a scholarship fund at the University.

Each week, a different "Legend" provides weekly video commentary on the upcoming Notre Dame games on the website. The site also features interactive ways for fans to interact with the Legends, a blog on Irish football by Taylor, and unique Legends of South Bend memorabilia.

Taylor will be actively involved in every aspect of the program. Taylor explains, "I'll be interviewing those who have helped build Notre Dame's rich football tradition -- the Legends of South Bend. We'll be looking at the last game and the upcoming games for strategy, technique, and unique player insights. Those interviews will be posted on our website three times a week, for fans to follow the action and insights."

"I'm so excited to be launching Legends of South Bend," Taylor said. "It provides a way to combine two of the things I'm most passionate about: helping people and Irish football. And, it makes an essential connection between former players and fans that has not existed before. For those of us whose blood runs blue and gold, it feels good to be associated with something that helps give back to a place that has given me so much."

Taylor was an offensive tackle at Notre Dame where he is regarded as a member of Notre Dame's top 25 players since 1970. A consensus All American in 1992, he won the Lombardi Award in 1993 and was also an Outland Trophy finalist.

Taylor served as the college football analyst for ABC Sports in 2004-05. He was a member of the Packers 1997 Super Bowl XXXI championship team, and also played with the San Diego Chargers until his retirement in 1999 due to injuries.

In recent years, Taylor has turned his love of sports and football to be a star in the world of philanthropy helping others. He created the Aaron Taylor Impact Fund to help at-risk youth. He taught English for 5 months to impoverished villagers in South America and went to Sri Lanka immediately following the tsunami, building 40 temporary homes and a community center in 10 weeks.

Weaving sports and philanthropy together in a new business paradigm, Taylor founded Allstar Axess LLC. (www.allstar-axess.com) with partners Jon Harris and Greg Asbury. Legends of South Bend is the first program the new company has developed.
