Taylor's TidbitsHangin' 'Em UpMon, 4/28/08 Hey Irish faithful- As painful as this is, I'll keep it short and simple. After taking an objective look and evaluating every aspect of the Legends of South Bend project, circumstances unfortunately dictate that we dissolve the project at this time. I cannot express how appreciative I am for all of the support, encouragement, and loyalty that you guys showed this ol' alum with his first ever entrepreneurial project. Whether it was sitting at my kitchen table night after night banging out articles, or spending Saturday afternoons pile driving opposing defenders...doing it with (and for) the fans made it all the more special. I will forever be indebted to those of you who supported the Legends of South Bend and our effort to both make a difference and provide a fresh and credible perspective on Notre Dame football. I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. Who knows, though ... we may pull a Brett Favre and come out of retirement right before training camp and give it one more shot. Wait, has that been made public yet?! ;) Until then- Go Irish, beat SDSU! Aaron Taylor Post new commentMan, I'm sorry, but we gotta have you log in. That's so we don't get spammed. One Last Hurrah!
Hello Aaron.
My next door neighbor, James Hurst (6' 5" - 260 lbs. - Plainfield High School - Plainfield, IN) is someone of whom Notre Dame's coaching cadre has expressed considerable interest in as a potential interior lineman.
His brother (Nelson Hurst) received a full-ride scholarship to Mississippi State - '07 to play for Coach Crumes as a tight-end. Coach Crumes and staff, and brother Nelson are trying very hard to recruit James. His dad, Tim Hurst (4-year letterman for Coach Bear Bryant - interior lineman) and I are hopeful that James will choose Notre Dame.
Can you visit James to let him know how important his choice of Notre Dame is for his career? He is an Honors Student, is part of a Christian family, and is a very good young man. Heck, we live next door and would be glad to have you "bunk" at our place for a night or two...great 20' x 40' in-ground swimming pool in our backyard and world-class fitness center less than 1/2 mile away!
Can you make this happen?

Damn sorry to see you go.
Damn sorry to see you go. This site was so unique among ND sites. A very refreshing and informative viewpoint. Absolutely no "follow the company line " crap. A definite tell it like it is attitude. Your site will be sorely missed. Here's wishing you a best of luck and may God bless you and your family!
Hangin' Em Up
DAMN! Sorry to hear that Aaron. This thing had huge potential. What happened? A legion of ND lawyers just totally hamstring you? Whatever, this is a sad time....
You are still DA MAN!!!!
Thanks Aaron
This site is great and I'm sorry to see it go. Also, thank you for the awesome engagement video you made for me a few months back, my fiancee still thinks it was the coolest part of my proposal.
Will miss you!
Aaron, LSB was wonderful. Your interviews were so entertaining and full of information. Hope LSB returns for ND fans. You are the best and will be missed!
My Favorite FI Site
Legends of SB is my favortie ND site.
Good luck Aaron. You and your articles will be greatly missed.
Thanks so much for the outstanding information and pouring your heart into this project!
Like jal, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You are still the man!!!
Aaron - Thanks for the awesome interviews and great insights on ND football. I am sad to see you go and look forward to your return, either on the web or on campus. I still need that autograph so please keep me and all of your fans posted on your nest trip to South Bend. Good luck and GO IRISH. - Sean '90
Very sorry to hear this
You know, Aaron, one thing I'd love to have is a DVD of all the interviews you have compiled. Those were great and I hate the thought of them getting lost by the wayside...especially Rocket's story of "Brawl Miami." I'd bet I'm not the only fan willing to plunk down some hard-earned for that.
In one word
Horse****!
I hope you can get the site back up for the season. Yours is a truly unique perspective...an internet blog that comes with the instant credibility of the player's perspective, no self-aggrandizement, and no "create a story where none exists" (ESPN, cough, cough) profit motive.
Seriously - this season has the potential to be a tipping point for the Irish football program, and your reasoned voice is needed.
It's a shame...
Aaron, I'm sad to see your site go. I've been an avid reader since day one, and I've always appreciated your ability to write your articles from a "first hand" prospective of the game. It just seems that the journalists can never really understand what its like to actually be in the shoes of those kids who live and die by every play on the field...I hope to see you back as the season kicks into gear this fall. Best of luck!
Disappointment
Your blog was always superior to all of the other ones on the web. You could always be counted on for insightful exposition rather than ranting and raving. Thank you for that. You will be missed. Good luck in whatever you will be doing. GO IRISH !
THANKS
Aaron - Thank you for your excellent coverage--fresh approach & keen insights-I have my fingers crossed!! jal
